We’re so used to our competitiveness that we don’t think twice about approaching spiritual practice in the same way. However, as long as we’re looking outside of ourselves, we cannot do the work of clarifying our lives. Real freedom comes only when we drop all comparisons, let go of our striving, and give ourselves wholeheartedly to the Way.
