The foam layer conforms to your body contour, eliminating many complaints caused by more traditional kapok or cotton-filled meditation cushions. Because of its structural memory, the foam will provide years of maintenance-free support. The second layer consists of buckwheat hulls in a muslin bag sealed with a Velcro strip. By opening the flap beneath the zafu's handle, the amount of buckwheat can be easily adjusted to suit your individual needs.
