Submitted By: Dana on 11/05/2010 For anyone who wants to know, the characters read "Amida Rulai" in Chinese, a rendering of the Sanskrit "Amitabha Tathagata." I found the workmanship and artistic sensitivity of this little Buddha rupa to be superb.

Submitted By: Michael on 04/12/2008 This is a very cool, finely crafted item; more so than what I first suspected. So I'm back a week after receiving the first one I purchased to obtain more. I had thought this might be like a wooden "poker chip"-style item with the picture showing front and back, but am delight to discover that the picture actually depicts the "insides" of two halves that fit tightly together to form a smooth wooden gem. Its like the perfect "skipping stone" only made of wood, which opens to reveal this marvelous Buddha Amitabha (Amida).
