Infinitely brilliant, the original Buddha-mind. What can surpass the virtue of this brilliance? Radiantly pure, its light covers the universe, and yet no one has ever seen it. Unbound by ideas of vast or small, round or square, birth or death, it reaches everywhere. All things--blooming flowers, the first snows on a withered field, mountains, rivers and all creatures of this great earth--are the body, mind, and spirit of the original Buddha-mind. They are sun-faced Buddha and moon-faced Buddha, and the skin, flesh, bones and marrow of all ancient Buddhas.
