with Shugen Sensei and Ryushin Sensei
Early in his life as a teacher, 13th century Japanese Zen Master Eihei Dogen penned a pithy chapter for his students: “Gakudo Yojinshu,” or “Guidelines for Studying the Way.” In question and answer sessions at Zen Mountain Monastery, Shugen Sensei and Ryushin Sensei took up this teaching that centers on the critical interplay between zazen and the teacher-student relationship. They highlight aspects of this rich teaching that are as fresh, relevant and essential for our practice today as they were for Dogen’s monks in the 1200s. 7 mp3 tracks with over 5 hours of audio.
