The true mark of fearlessness is not an absence of fear, but rather the courage to turn toward it. Our habit of turning away from the unfamiliar and uncomfortable in favor of what makes us feel safe and confirmed can be hard to break. Practice gives us a way to break out of the habits that make life feel small and confining, and gives us an opportunity to live a life of no regrets.
