Gateless Gate Case 23: Think Neither Good Nor Evil
"It's all about me!" As much as none of us wants to admit it, we view the world exactly this way. What does it mean to go beyond a self-centered position where everything we experience is somehow related to a monolithic self? If we let go of this reference point, we come to the critical question: Who are we? Another way of being, the secret self, is constantly being revealed to us, but we can't see it unless we can realize our own unity. Sincere and dedicated practice can bring us to a moment of inner conversion, the place of neither good nor evil, where our old ideas fall away and our true nature blooms.
