In a popular tale from Chinese folklore, Qian must make a heartbreaking choice between her parents' wishes and her desire to marry her true love. Like Qian, we all face difficult decisions; it's very painful when we don't know what choice is the "right" choice, and often we feel split in two. We need to understand that our pain arises not from the choices themselves, but rather from our sense of being divided. Discovering our true nature lets us see that this division is an illusion, and allows us to live our life knowing that, in fact, there is no conflict at all.
