True Dharma Eye Case 17: Xiangyan's Great Enlightenment
In Buddhism we often hear the expression "Let go!" What we may not realize is that letting go is actually a process. In order to awaken we must be ripe with the aspiration to wake up. This aspiration, a deep desire born from our spiritual yearning, will inevitably open up the myriad teachings constantly coming towards us. This spiritual tension allows us to get free of what tethers us, the many bonds of ingrained habits that keep us grounded. Diligent practice combined with deep aspiration allows us to finally let go and experience this freedom. Once we know who we truly are, we can live our lives with a joyful heart and manifest true compassion.
