True Dharma Eye Case 228: Yunyan's "This Is It"
Dogen said: “Suchness is the real form of truth.” Our lives are constantly changing; our minds are constantly changing. This can make us feel helpless—leading us to ask: What can I rely on? Or, this flux can be used to practice and deepen our awareness. To ask, “What is suchness?” is to ask how all things exist. Through this question we can become truly intimate with reality. But we have to trust the question, trust the process, and trust ourselves.
