Throughout human history, people have been gathering together, sitting down, and settling into silence. Dwelling in the still point is a natural impulse of human nature, and an essential part of recognizing our true nature. In the modern world, however, we are afraid of meeting our minds and so we constantly distract ourselves with inner chatter. If we simply sit down and turn inward, we experience who we truly are, in a place beyond stillness and activity. We experience the vibrancy of our true nature, and this allows us to practice the world of differences with equanimity and joy.
