The compassion of Kannon or Avalokiteshvara-"The One Who Heeds the Cries of the World"-is boundless and inexpressible in words. She always responds according to circumstances, expressing compassion selflessly. As Daido Roshi says: "Every time that great heart of compassion comes to life inside our bodies, we give birth to the hands and eyes of Kannon Bodhisattva."
