Imagine you meet a man on the street who offers you a deal: “Give me everything, and I'll give you nothing in return.” This man is no other than Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen lineage, offering us the path to complete freedom. In giving away everything we’re attached to, including any hope for spiritual attainment or comfort, the whole universe naturally offers us everything.
