How do we make ourselves comfortable by relying on our past accomplishments, wealth, or rank? If we really want freedom for ourselves and others, we must let go of seeking status. Indeed, we must let go of the desire to rely on any fixed identity and be open to assuming whatever role is appropriate in each situation that we encounter. Only then will we experience true freedom and fellowship with others.
