Gateless Gate, Case 8: Keichu Makes Carts
In zazen, we examine our minds—when we look closely, what do we find? Why do we look? What are we looking for? True freedom requires that we leap free of this and that, of "emptiness" and "form," of sacred and mundane. Spiritual practice doesn't do us or anyone else any good if it only happens on our meditation cushion. It has to function in every condition—every moment—of our lives if we want to be completely free and help others.
