The Mountain Seat zafu combines a layer of viscoelastic foam with a sturdy, buckwheat hull base, covered in a durable cotton/poly shell. The foam layer conforms to your body contour, eliminating many complaints caused by more traditional kapok or cotton-filled meditation cushions. Because of its structural memory, the foam will provide years of maintenance-free support. The second layer consists of buckwheat hulls in a muslin bag sealed with a Velcro strip. By opening the flap beneath the zafu's handle, the amount of buckwheat can be easily adjusted to suit your individual needs. The Mountain Seat zabuton uses a layer of visco-elastic foam sandwiched between two generous layers of cotton batting, providing excellent support for your knees, hips and ankles.
