Daido Roshi Shugen Sensei Ryushin Sensei

John Daido Loori, Roshi

John Daido Loori (1931-2009) was a first-generation American Zen Master, founder of the Mountains and Rivers Order of Zen Buddhism, and the Abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery.

Geoffrey Shugen Arnold, Sensei

Geoffrey Shugen Arnold, Sensei entered into full-time residential training in 1986, and received dharma transmission from Daido Roshi in 1997. Shugen Sensei is the Head of the Mountains and Rivers Order, Abbot of the Zen Center of New York City, and Director of the National Buddhist Prison Sangha.

Konrad Ryushin Marchaj, Sensei

Konrad Ryushin Marchaj, Sensei began studying with Daido Roshi in 1987. He entered into residency in 1992 and received dharma transmission in 2009. Before coming into residency he worked as a pediatrician and psychiatrist. Ryushin Sensei is the Abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery.
