rectangular cushion that can be used by Tibetan Buddhist practitioners and
that offers significantly improved comfort and posture. The Tibetan Mountain
Seat is a viable alternative to the traditional zafu and many meditators prefer
it for its firm support and wide base. This unique design utilizes a stabilizing
firm foam as a base with a top layer of viscoelastic foam, a revolutionary
product that has relieved discomfort for hundreds of meditators. The foam molds
to the shape of your body, allowing for even distribution of weight and correct
spinal alignment, and its structural memory causes it to resume its original
shape after each use. Available in terracotta red, black, or royal blue,
either plain or with imprinted endless knot design in gold, and in yellow

The Mountain Seat zafu combines a layer of viscoelastic foam with a sturdy, buckwheat hull base, covered in a durable cotton/poly shell. The foam layer conforms to your body contour, eliminating many complaints caused by more traditional kapok or cotton-filled meditation cushions. Because of its structural memory, the foam will provide years of maintenance-free support. The second layer consists of buckwheat hulls in a muslin bag sealed with a velcro strip. By opening the flap beneath the zafu's handle, the amount of buckwheat can be easily adjusted to suit your individual needs. We offer the Mountain Seat zafus in two sizes (7.5" and 8.5" high). Mountain Seat Zabuton
Compared to other mats on the market, our zabutons are extra large and thick for added comfort during long hours of meditation. The Mountain Seat zabuton uses a layer of visco-elastic foam sandwiched between two generous layers of cotton batting, providing excellent support for your knees, hips and ankles. Especially beneficial for those who sit in a kneeling posture. Black only. 33" long, 28" wide, and with a 4" loft.
