Dharma Communications is the religious outreach arm of Zen Mountain Monastery, and is a not-for-profit religious corporation dedicated to providing resources on Buddhism and world religions, pertinent to the challenges and opportunities encountered by spiritual practitioners today.

As part of the "right livelihood" of Zen Mountain Monastery, Dharma Communications is staffed by monastics and resident and nonresident lay Zen students. We are committed to bring to the public, at lowest possible cost, teachings of Zen Buddhism and other traditions that reflect the heart of practice.

Appreciating the opportunity provided by the modern media explosion, Dharma Communications uses a wide range of media to reflect the possibilities Zen Buddhism suggests. A special effort is made to make the teachings available to those who may not be able to attend workshops and retreats, and for whom isolated practice, away from a teacher or training center is the only path. Among those who use the services of Dharma Communications are many inmates and home-bound practitioners.
The Monastery Store Online Catalog offers a fully interactive catalog with a secure server, shopping cart, and over 450 items available for purchase on-line. It provides items that support a strong home Zen practice, including books, altar and meditation supplies, and clothing. It also features the work of artists selected to depict the quality and spirit associated with Zen.
